Cici Gazder (She/her/hers)

Co-Chair

Cici is a second-year student in the Parkinson School of Public Health & Health Sciences. After graduation, Cici plans to take her BOR exam to become a certified MLS and continue her education in medical school.

 

Starr Young  (She/her/hers)

Co-Chair

Starr is curerntly working towards her dual degree of Master of Divinity and Master of Arts in Pastoral Counseling from the Institute of Pastoral Studies. After graduation she intends to pursue dual doctoral degrees in Ministry and Counseling. Currently she serves as a Young Adult Minister, Mental Health Professional, and Advocate of mental health resources for Black Women.


Farzana Arab (She/her/hers)

Parkinson Health Sciences Representative

Farzana is a Medical Laboratory Science student in the Parkinson School of Public Health & Health Sciences. She plans to apply to AP/CP Pathology residency/Match 2021.


Eli Beller (He/him/his)

School of Social Work Representative

Eli is a second year Master's student in the School of Social work. Eli's future plans include working with migrants and refugees to address traumatic experiences from their journey north.


Yelyzaveta Distefano (She/her/hers)

EDGE Liason

Yelyzaveta is a fifth-year PhD student in the Applied Social Psychology program. Yelyzaveta, aspires to enter the field of applied psychology research or potentially become a college instructor.


Alexandra Escobar (She/her/hers)

School of Communication Representative

Alexandra is a second-year graduate student in the School of Communication. After graduation, Alexandra aspires to work in crisis/risk communication and brand marketing related fields.


David E. Faich (He/him/his)

School of Law Representative

David Faich is a second-year law student and a Civitas ChildLaw Fellow, originally from Philadelphia, PA. Prior to law school, David served as an assistant principal at a PK-8 public school in Camden, NJ and as a third grade teacher and early childhood family interventionist in Tulsa, OK. David holds a M.Ed in Administration from the University of Oklahoma and a B.A. in Government and Spanish from Franklin & Marshall College. After law school, David plans to pursue a career in early childhood education policy and advocacy.

Elizabeth is a graduate student in the School of Social Work who aspires to do advocacy work around social policy.

Annie is a fourth-year PhD student in the Cultural and Educational Policy Studies program.


Deanna Trejo (She/her/hers)

School of Communication Representative

Deanna is in her third-year of the Digital Media & Storytelling program in the School of Communication. Post graduation Deanna aspires to become a news producer.

Itzel is a graduate student in the School of Education, Master's in Higher Education Program. After graduation Itzel intends to work for a non-profit focused on education or alternatively a university.
