School of Law: Health Law and Business Law Online Programs

Welcome to Loyola University Chicago School of Law!

Congratulations on your admission to our program. Below is some important information on how to prepare for your first term in the program. Please read the details carefully and proceed accordingly.

New Student Orientation: Approximately two weeks before the start of classes, you will receive access to our orientation modules in Sakai. All incoming students must complete orientation before the start of classes. Our student advising team will also host live web conference sessions during the first week of class. Additional details about these sessions will be posted in the student Sakai homepage and sent to your Loyola email address.

Financial Aid: We encourage you to apply for federal aid as soon as possible.  Be sure to add Loyola's school code (001710) to your application. The FAFSA application must be completed to receive aid. Keep in mind that as a graduate student you are only eligible for student loans. More information regarding the financial aid process can be found here. For additional information on Financial Aid at Loyola, contact the university’s Financial Aid Office at (773) 508-7704.

Registration: To prepare for registration, please review the curriculum page for the program. A helpful guide for registering for classes through LOCUS can be found here

Loyola Universal ID & Password: You will receive an email containing your Loyola Universal ID and password. This ID will give you access to the various Loyola systems you will use during your graduate tenure. Once you receive your ID please become familiar with LOCUS and the Loyola Email System.  You will use LOCUS to register for classes, view financial aid awards, pay tuition bills among other things. Take some time and go through the Technology Roadmap. It is a great introduction to LOCUS and other technology systems used at Loyola.
Please be aware that all communications, including those from your professors and advisor, will be sent to your Loyola email address. It is crucial that you regularly check your Loyola email. You can review instructions for adding your Loyola email to your smartphone here or forwarding it to your personal email.
