Congratulations to the winners of Loyola's Three Minute Thesis Competition 2023, where students from a wide range of Loyola's graduate programs were asked to demonstrate their research communication skills by sharing the content and impact of their work to a general audience. Our first place winner and Audience Favorite was Hershey Kondeti, a doctoral student from the Department of Pharmacology, who shared information on her research in a presentation titled, "Straight out of a Science-Fiction Novel: The road to curing Charcot-Marie-Tooth Disease". Ms. Kondeti will be going on to compete in the regional Three Minute Thesis competition taking place at the Midwestern Association of Graduate Schools in March. Adam Hii of the Department of Politcal Science nabbed the second place prize, and third place featured a tie between Kanak Joshi of the Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology and Carolyn Judy of the Department of Neuroscience.
