Three Minute Thesis 2024

Congratulations to the winners of Loyola's Three Minute Thesis Competition 2024, where students from a wide range of Loyola's graduate programs were asked to demonstrate their research communication skills by sharing the content and impact of their work to a general audience. Our first place winner and co-recipient of our Audience Favorite award was Brian Choi, a doctoral student from the Department of Microbiology and Immunology, who shared information on his research in a presentation titled, "Discovering New Bacteria Species in Your Urinary Tract". Mr. Choi will be going on to compete in the regional Three Minute Thesis competition taking place at the Midwestern Association of Graduate Schools (MAGS) Annual Meeting in April. Vignesh Krishnamoorthy (Neuroscience) nabbed the second place prize, and third place featured a tie between Mudassir Ali (Microbiology and Immunology) and Jeanie Chang (Counseling Psychology). Tris Buck from the Department of Molecular Pharmacology & Therapeutics and Vignesh Krishnamoorthy were our two other co-recipients of the Audience Favorite award.
