Tamika Toler

About

Tamika is a native Chicagoan and has worked in higher education administration for over a decade. Tamika began her career as a financial aid expert after receiving a B.A. in Communication Design with a focus in community organization and change. After years working in financial aid for higher education institutions, Tamika sought a more active role in fostering a better student experience. She developed a deep devotion for helping students, especially identifying resources and strategies to empower students. This appreciation of the student experience led her to secure a Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration with a focus in counseling in order to better understand and create developmental and financial opportunities for students. Tamika is an avid foodie and, in her spare time, makes every effort to try out a variety of restaurants and foods.
