Reminder: Changes to COVID-19 Testing Program

Dear Loyolans,

A friendly reminder for those planning to visit our Chicagoland campuses in the coming weeks: Starting on Sunday, May 23, you can stop participating in our COVID-19 surveillance testing program if your vaccine record is uploaded to and approved in the Loyola Health function of the Loyola mobile app and you are fully vaccinated (two weeks past the single dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine or the second dose of the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines). You’ll know that your card is approved when the vaccine bar in your Loyola mobile app turns green.

If you upload your vaccine card after Sunday, you will need to test until that approval is processed. You can view detailed upload instructions here. Please be assured that all submitted health records are secure and kept in strict confidence.

All other Loyolans—those who do not upload their card, have an approved vaccine card but are not yet fully vaccinated, choose not to vaccinate, or have a medical or religious exemption—will still be required to participate in our surveillance testing program. And as announced earlier this week, our surveillance testing program is undergoing a modest change; on Monday, May 24, Loyola University Chicago will transition from EPIC to Point and Click (PnC), a more sophisticated patient portal. If you need to test, you will need to create a new PnC account. To do so, register at the website below using the URL and relevant Agency Code.

After that information is submitted, you will be sent a verification code to enter and confirm your identity. Once enrolled, individuals can select a time and date to test. Doing so creates a QR code in your patient account. Please bring a screenshot/printout of that QR code to your appointment. If you need assistance creating an account, call SHIELD's support line at 217-265-6059; the line is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

  • Monday, Tuesday, and Friday: 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday and Thursday: 6:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
  • Saturday and Sunday: Closed

  • Lake Shore Campus: Damen Student Center Room 244 (Sister Jean Room)
  • Health Sciences Campus: Cuneo Center 120 – Faculty Dining Room
  • Water Tower Campus: Terry Student Center – third floor
