The Spring 2016 Newberry Library Undergraduate Seminar is entitled "Break the Chains: Revolt, Rebellion, and Resistance in the World of Atlantic Slavery" and will be taught by Dr. John Donoghue (Associate Professor of History, Loyola University Chicago) and Dr. Jeffrey Glovery (Associate Professor of English, Loyola University Chicago). Participation in this seminar earns history undergraduate students 6 credit hours. 3 of these credits replace the HIST 291 seminar requirement and 3 credits replace one 300-level United States history elective.
