Co-Curricular Opportunities

Students can maximize their collegiate experiences by becoming involved both in and out of the classroom. The following campus offices are committed to supporting students as they explore and engage in co-curricular opportunities and transformative experiences:

Campus Ministry
Campus ministry oversees several campus programs including the Loyola Companions peer ministry program, Alternative Break Immersions, spiritual growth and development retreats, community service opportunities, and religious and service-based student groups.

The Career Development Center
The Career Development Center provides assistance with major and career planning as well as job and internship searching.

The Center for Experiential Learning
In addition to overseeing LUROP (see below) and service learning at Loyola, the Center for Experiential Learning also assists students find internships for academic credit, assists students pursue community-based federal work study positions, and administers the electronic portfolio system.

The Fellowship Office helps students identify and apply for highly competitive fellowships and scholarships to conduct research and/or study abroad.

Loyola Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (LUROP)
LUROP oversees all of the academically enriching undergraduate research programs at Loyola. All programs provide the opportunity for students to engage in a research project with faculty, staff, or community mentors.

Loyola Retreats
Loyola Retreats offers 1-2 day excursions throughout the school year which allow students to connect with peers based on common interests, experiences and backgrounds.

The Office of International Programs (OIP)
OIP coordinates study abroad opportunities for Loyola students through 69 programs in 27 countries.

The Offices of Pre-Health and Pre-Law Advising
The Office of Pre-health Advising offers assistance to students interested in pursuing health professional careers. Their resources include workshops, an extensive resource library, information on volunteer opportunities, and assistance with applications.

The Pre-Law Advising office provides information and advising to students considering law school. Services include guidance during the law school admissions process and information sessions about law school.

The Ricci Scholars Program
The Ricci Scholars Program awards selected students with scholarships for travel, research, and exploration during a junior year of study divided between Rome, Italy and Ho Chin Minh City, Vietnam.

Student Leadership Development (SLD)
SLD provides programs, workshops, and certifications designed to enhance students' leadership skills.

Student Activities and Greek Affairs (SAGA)
SAGA provides resources and programming to help students get involved in student organizations.
