Loyola University Chicago

Interdisciplinary Honors Program

Honor Students and the School for International Training

Loyola has added the School for International Training (SIT) consortium as a study abroad provider. SIT offers programs that immerse students in real-world contexts where they can examine critical, global issues from diverse perspectives and multiple sources of knowledge. SIT requires all students in their programs to undertake an Independent Study Project that is typically worth 4 credits. Completion of the SIT program abroad and the Independent Study Project will satisfy one of the honors area studies requirements. For more information on SIT programs, please see http://studyabroad.sit.edu/, or contact the Office for International Programs at studyabroad@luc.edu.

Each SIT program focuses on one of six critical, global issues:

  • Global Health
  • Identity and Globalization
  • Natural Resource Management, Biodiversity and Environmental Policy
