COVID-19 Loyola Medical Plan Provisions
Effective beginning May 12, 2023, the following changes affecting coverage for COVID-19 testing and treatment will apply to all Loyola Medical Plan participants:
- Over-the Counter COVID-19 testing kits will only be covered through December 31, 2023. After December 31, 2023, OTC COVID 19 testing kits will no longer be covered.
- Note: If you contribute to the Health Care Flexible Spending Account or the Health Savings Account, you may use your debit card or be reimbursed from your account for the purchase of an over-the counter COVID-19 testing kit after December 31, 2023.
- COVID-19 testing, treatment, and related office visits will be subject to the same coinsurance provisions that apply to other lab tests and office visits.
- COVID-19 vaccines (including boosters) will be covered at 100% with no coinsurance if received from a network provider.
