Dear Faculty and Staff,

Human Resources is pleased to provide updates and announce new programs and services for our Loyola University Chicago community. Please review the information below to learn more about accessing your 2018 Total Rewards Statement; about an opportunity to participate in an upcoming personal and professional development EMERGE course at the Lake Shore or Water Tower campuses; and about a helpful real estate purchasing seminar for benefits-eligible faculty and staff.

2018 Total Rewards Statements—Now Available
Your personalized 2018 Total Rewards Statement is now available online. The statement highlights the total value of your compensation, including your pay and valuable benefits offerings (i.e., health and welfare benefits, paid time off, and retirement benefits) provided by Loyola as of December 31, 2018. Please visit the Benefit Express website and log in with your Loyola username and password to view your current statement, which is located at the bottom of the portal.

Virtual Visits: Activate Your MDLIVE Account
If you're one of 50 million Americans who struggle with allergy symptoms, Virtual Visits is a new way to get a doctor’s advice on the topic. Virtual Visits is a benefit provided by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois (BCBSIL) and powered by MDLIVE; available 24/7, it connects people enrolled in Loyola’s Medical Plan with a board-certified MDLIVE doctor via mobile app, secure video, or telephone. The benefit is a great alternative when your medicine isn’t working or if you suffer from another health condition. In addition, you can use the service if your only other options are the doctor’s office, emergency room, or urgent care center. There are a number of ways to activate your MDLIVE account:

     • Call MDLIVE at (888) 676-4204
     • Visit Blue Access for Members
     • Visit MDLIVE.com/bcbsil
     • Text BCBSIL to 635-483

Employee Assistance Program ... in Your Pocket
Online resources provided by Perspectives’ Employee Assistance Program are now available at the tip of your fingers via your iPhone or Android smartphone through the Spark mobile app. Once you download the app, enter Loyola’s credentials:

     • Username: LOY500
     • Password: perspectives

In addition, you will receive a prompt to enter your demographic group (e.g., employee, spouse, family member, etc.) in order to access the resources.

Listening Sessions
The Executive Council on Diversity and Inclusion thanks the University community for sharing diversity-related feedback regarding the University’s campus climate. Listening Sessions, which included faculty, staff, and students on all Loyola campuses, concluded in March. Feedback from the sessions will enable University leadership to learn more about faculty, staff, and students’ collaborative experiences taking place in the classroom and in the workplace. The rich feedback will be analyzed to determine the strategic focus areas in our efforts to create and foster exemplary diversity, inclusion, and equity relations, processes, and resources at Loyola.
