July 2018 - Shuttle Service for the Feast Day of Saint Ignatius Mass and Picnic

Dear Faculty and Staff,

On Tuesday, July 31, please join Human Resources and University Staff Council in celebrating the Feast Day of Saint Ignatius at Mass and a picnic on the Lake Shore Campus.

Mass will begin at 11 a.m. in Madonna della Strada Chapel, and the picnic will follow on the East Quad. To ensure that we can provide lunch for everyone invited, current faculty and staff will be asked to show their employee ID badges for meal service at the picnic.

In addition, Loyola University Chicago will provide shuttle service to and from the Lake Shore Campus for faculty and staff members at the Health Sciences and Water Tower campuses. The shuttle will pick up passengers at the Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing building at 9:15 a.m. and will depart by 9:30 a.m. to arrive at the Corboy Law Center by 10:15 a.m. The shuttle will depart from the picnic at 2:00 p.m. Please note, space is limited to 55 passengers. In order to secure a seat, please e-mail HR-LSC@LUC.edu by Thursday, July 26.

Also, in celebration of the Feast Day of Saint Ignatius, an interfaith prayer service and lunch will be held at the Health Sciences Campus on Friday, July 27. Regardless of where you are participating, we look forward to celebrating our University’s heritage and mission as a community.

Lastly, a special thank you in advance to those who volunteered for Ignatian Service Days. Online sign-up is still open for those interested. Check out all the action and fun from last year’s volunteer days in our photo gallery.
