June 2018 Human Resources Updates

Dear Faculty and Staff,
Human Resources is pleased to provide updates and announce new programs and services for our Loyola community. Please review the information below to learn more about Loyola’s reimagined careers website and about resources available to help you save money on medical expenses, prepare for retirement, and earn cash rewards for wellness activities.
Careers at Loyola University Chicago
Human Resources is excited to announce that an enhanced, mobile-friendly careers website is now available. Key enhancements include information about applicant interest cards, diversity and inclusion, and professional development opportunities as well as the opportunity to browse campus highlights. In addition, hiring managers will experience an updated PeopleAdmin 7.6 applicant website in June. A robust landing page, user-friendly inbox allowing quick access to website features, and widgets are among enriched features scheduled for release. For your convenience, updated training materials are available online. Please stay tuned as more information will be shared soon.
Take Advantage of Benefits Value Advisors
If you are enrolled in the Loyola medical plan and your doctor has recommended a medical procedure, the procedure may be more cost-effective with a specific health care provider. As part of your Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois health care plan, you and eligible dependents can use the Member Rewards benefit. Simply contact a Benefits Value Advisor to help you shop for medical care, save on out-of-pocket costs, and earn cash rewards for choices you make. Check the back of your medical ID card for the benefits value advisor customer service number.
Preparing for Retirement with Managed Advice
If you are interested in enhancing your retirement portfolio, a new program beginning June 7 can help. Transamerica Retirement Solutions is offering Managed Advice, a program designed to help you better understand how to customize your investment portfolio based on your retirement goals. It will assist you with reviewing available funds and building an investment program. Learn more online.
Getting Ready to Retire Seminars
A Transamerica Retirement Solutions representative will present the Get Ready to Retire seminar in June. The seminar is helpful to all people preparing for retirement—especially for individuals who are over the age of 55. After the presentation, the retirement counselor will answer questions. Registration is not required. If you are not able to attend the seminar, please consider signing up to attend a webinar.
Summer Inner-Mission Employee Retreat
Faculty and staff are invited to attend the upcoming Inner-Mission Employee Retreat, which is designed to foster quiet time and reflection. The retreat is July 11–12 at the Loyola Retreat and Ecology Campus in Woodstock, Illinois. Participants will be able to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of life; deepen their personal connection through self-reflection, meditation, and rest; and connect with colleagues. Learn more and register on the Mission and Identity webpage.
