March 2018 Human Resources Updates

Dear Faculty and Staff,

Human Resources is pleased to provide updates and announce new programs and services for our Loyola community. Please review the information below to learn more about harassment prevention training taking place throughout the spring semester, upcoming professional and personal development opportunities, and a discounted wellness program offered through the Well on Target fitness benefit for current medical plan participants.

Harassment Prevention
The University’s Harassment Prevention training is available through March 16. Completion of this compliance training is required for all staff and full-time faculty and central to our efforts to ensure faculty and staff have the opportunity to work in a safe, respectful, and inclusive campus community.

Via Benefits
Our retirement benefits site OneExchange now has a new name, “Via Benefits.” The name change will not impact retiree benefits, however websites and communication materials regarding related information will reflect the new Via Benefits branding. In addition, the OneExchange websites that you may have bookmarked in your internet browser will automatically route to the new Via Benefits webpage. FAQs are available online for additional information.

Form 1095-C
The IRS requires employers to provide employees with Form 1095-C, which may accompany W-2’s for tax purposes. The IRS will use the information reported on the 1095-C to determine whether you will pay a penalty for failing to have health care coverage as required by the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. The 2017 statement was distributed to employees on February 27, 2018, either via e-mail or U.S. Mail (if faculty and staff did not opt-in to receive the form electronically). To access your personalized statement, please visit Employee Self-Service while on campus or via Loyola Secure Access. If necessary, detailed instructions regarding how to access your 1095-C statement are available online.
