Reminder: 2022 Open Enrollment and Biometric Screenings

October 27, 2021

Dear Faculty and Staff,

As previously announced in the communication sent on Friday, October 14, Open Enrollment is your annual opportunity to make changes to your benefit choices based on your personal and family needs for the upcoming year. Now is the time to begin reviewing your benefits and planning for any changes needed for you and/or your covered dependents.

We encourage you to thoroughly review your benefits by accessing Employee Self-Service (ESS) over the next week and attend one of the virtual information sessions so that you are prepared to make informed decisions. The 2022 open enrollment system opens on Monday, November 1 and closes Monday, November 15.

Detailed information summarizing benefit plans and monthly premium rates are included in the 2022 Benefits Highlights Brochure, or you can learn more by consulting ALEX, an interactive online tool designed to serve as your personalized benefits counselor.

On-Campus Biometric Screenings and Flu Shots
You and your covered spouse or legally domiciled adult (LDA) are required to participate in a biometric screening and complete the Health Power Assessment to receive a $50 monthly wellness reduction premium on your Loyola medical plan contributions in 2022. All screenings are due by Friday, December 3.

Onsite biometric screenings and flu shots will be available on select dates and times throughout October and November for Loyola University Chicago faculty and staff only at the Lake Shore, Water Tower, and Health Sciences Campuses. Click here for dates and times. Spouses/LDAs must visit a Quest Diagnostics Lab or visit an in-network provider to complete their screenings. Screenings and flu shots are by appointment only, so visit the Health Maintenance Institute (HMI) website to sign up or obtain information for completing your screening with your doctor or a Quest Lab. Note: New users can register with site code L773 on the HMI website.

Please note: in keeping with the University’s COVID-19 health and safety protocols, masks will be required to attend biometric screenings or receive flu shots on campus.

Thank you for your thoughtful review of this information. If you have questions regarding benefit offerings or open enrollment, please visit LUC.edu/hr/openenrollment/ or contact Human Resources at benefits@LUC.edu or 312-915-6175.

Sincerely,
Human Resources
