What's New for 2020
The majority of Loyola’s benefits offerings are not changing for 2020.

However, it should be noted that beginning January 1, 2020, Loyola’s medical plan provider will be changing from Blue Cross Blue Shield to Aetna. Loyola is proud to announce that we will maintain access to high quality health care services for our employees in 2020, with continued access to a wide network of providers. Most importantly, for the first time in many years, monthly premium rates for 2020 will not increase, as Loyola has initiated this provider change as a way to mitigate health care expenses through a strategic partnership with Aetna. Most importantly, for the first time in many years, monthly premium rates for 2020 will not increase, as Loyola has initiated this provider change as a way to mitigate health care expenses through a strategic partnership with Aetna. Visit the Aetna Resources page for more details, or use Aetna's DocFind tool at www.Aetna.com/Loyola to find a provider, facility or other health care service near you.

New in 2020, you may roll over up to $500 of your remaining 2019 Health Care FSA (or Limited FSA) dollars. Any remaining balance over $500 will be forfeited. Note: This change does not apply to the Dependent Care FSA; you must still use all remaining 2019 FSA dollars before December 31, though you have until March 31, 2020 to submit receipts for reimbursement. This change does also not apply to the Health Savings Account (HSA), in which the entire balance is yours to use in future years, even if you change health plans or leave Loyola.

Biometric Screening Information
You and your covered spouse/LDA are required to participate in the biometric screening and complete the Health Power Assessment annually in order to receive a $50 Wellness Reduction Premium per month on your Loyola medical plan. On-site biometric screenings are a convenient and easy way to achieve this wellness savings. On-site biometric screenings are by appointment only; visit HMI at www.myhmihealth.com to sign up (new users can register with site code L773). All on-site biometric screenings will end at 12:00 PM, and flu shots (at Lakeside campuses only) will end at 1:00 PM.

You can also have your biometric screening conducted off-site at your doctor's office or Quest Diagnostics, and submit the appropriate form to HMI to fulfill this requirement using the forms below:
Note: Flu shots will be given at Lakeside campuses (Lake Shore and Water Tower) only. No appointment is necessary. Flu shots at the Health Sciences Campus are mandatory and details are forthcoming. (Flu shots are optional for Lakeside campus employees, and are not a component of the biometric screening.)
