Loyola University Chicago hosted the 27th annual AJCU Human Resources Conference that is scheduled to take place September 10 thru 13. HR leaders across the AJCU community converged to share best practices in Human Resources and the higher education realm.

The Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities (AJCU) has approximately 30 affinity groups. Of these, the AJCU HR group hosts an annual conference in order to provide leaders of the affiliate schools and universities with a in-person opportunity to the exchange information and ideas relating to human resources and Jesuit higher education, network with peers, and learn about innovative tools and resources designed to help HR communities support and develop the environments in which we work, learn and live.

Loyola University Chicago
We are Chicago's Jesuit, Catholic University! Our faculty, staff, and students come from all faiths and backgrounds, but together, we strive toward the same goal, being men and women for and with others. But what makes a Jesuit university different? Our students receive an education that stresses the importance of knowledge, curiosity, global perspectives, and cura personalis, which translates to “care for the whole person.”

Our Loyola community isn’t afraid to get its hands dirty cleaning up neighborhood parks and gardens—or use its expertise to mentor girls interested in STEM programs. They research local food deserts and volunteer with our student-run farmers market to make healthy food more accessible. Here, we don't talk about making the world a better place—we get to work.
