Ann Hillman

Growing up in Wisconsin, Ann received her BA in Religious Studies from St. Norbert College (De Pere, WI) before moving to Chicagoland, where she now calls home. Her professional ministry settings have included both congregational and higher education contexts, with a variety of experiences in youth and young adult ministry, retreats, contemplative spirituality, spiritual care for persons with HIV/AIDS, and social justice advocacy. Ann received her Master of Divinity from Loyola University Chicago and is passionate about the Ignatian values of “finding God is all things” and “care for the whole person.” She looks forward to bringing her gifts for spiritual accompaniment, pastoral care, and building communities of inclusion and belonging to HSC Ministry.


Ramona Bamgbose

Raised in the city of Chicago, Ramona received her BA in Youth Ministry from North Park University. She worked as an Operations Manager with a respite bed program in New York City before returning to Chicago to pursue her Master of Counseling for Ministry with LUC. As a spiritual care professional, her professional background includes roles as a Youth & Program Director for children and adolescents in an eccelessial community, clinical training with four units of Clinical Pastoral Education in hospital settings specializing in ED, ICU and Behavioral Health chaplaincy. Ramona cares deeply about supporting the spiritual health of persons struggling with behavioral and physical health crises and trauma particularly in underserved communities, and is grounded firmly in a client-centered approach that deems all worthy of unconditional positive regard and living as integrated (whole) beings.


Justin Hoch

Originally from outside of Indianapolis, Justin received his BA in Theology from Loyola University Chicago. Before making his way back to Chicago, Justin worked in Campus Ministry at St. Joseph’s University and completed a year of service at Cristo Rey Boston High School, where he supported a World Religions class. Inspired by his experience in ministry, education, and mental health, he went on to earn his M.A. in Theology and Ministry and Master of Social Work from Boston College. Justin has experience in case management, LGBTQ+ ministry, retreats, and immersions. Grounded in social work and theology, Justin is passionate about offering trauma-informed pastoral care through community building, spiritual direction, and justice work.

Ana is originally from the southwest suburbs of Chicago. While earning her B.A. in Writing and Publishing from Benedictine University (Lisle, IL), she was heavily involved as a student leader in University Ministry. Ana worked at Loyola University Medical Center for several years in a variety of roles before transitioning to the Health Sciences campus. She is currently pursuing a master's degree in higher education at Loyola University Chicago. She looks forward to bringing her experience in and passion for mental health and social justice advocacy to HSC Ministry.


Fr. David DeMarco, S.J., MD

Fr. Dave is a Jesuit spiritual director and a practicing physician. He is an Assistant Professor of Medicine and a faculty attending in the Access to Care Clinic. He practiced medicine and served in pastoral ministry on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. Before that he worked at a faith-based clinic in Detroit and also served as the Assistant Director of Novices for the Chicago, Detroit, and Wisconsin Provinces of the Society of Jesus. Fr. Dave grew up in Northeast Ohio, and is an alumnus of Wittenberg University and Northeast Ohio Medical University. He completed his internal medicine residency at the Cleveland Clinic then worked at Dayton’s Kettering Medical Center, where he served an Associate Director/Internal Medicine Residency. After entering the Society of Jesus, he practiced at Chicago's American Indian Health Center and at Cincinnati’s Crossroad Health Center. Fr. Dave holds degrees in healthcare ethics, divinity, and spiritual direction.


Fr. Jack O'Callaghan, S.J.

Senior Chaplain Advisor, Stritch School of Medicine

Born in New York, Fr. Jack grew up in Kentucky and entered the Jesuits right after high school. Ordained in 1962, he earned a doctorate in Moral Theology and was involved with teaching and “forming” young Jesuits for some 15 years before moving into Jesuit administrative posts in Chicago, Washington D.C. and Rome. He came back to Chicago in 1995 and joined the University Ministry team at Stritch. Except for a four-year stint as VP for Mission Integration in the hospital, he remained at Stritch until officially in 2017. Jack assists in matters of Ignatian Spirituality and is glad to stay active at Loyola part-time. Sitting on various committees, Jack also interviews Stritch candidates, offersspiritual direction, helps couples in preparing for Catholic weddings, and celebrates Mass on the Health Sciences campus and in Galvin Chapel in the hospital.
