Betsi Burns received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Law and Society with Phi Beta Kappa honors from Purdue University, her master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from Northwestern University, and is currently pursuing her PhD in Sociology from Loyola University Chicago.
Betsi currently serves as Director of Learning and Student Success at Loyola University Chicago, and is passionate about supporting students in various capacities. With her experience in athletics, academic advising, and program development, Betsi is dedicated to providing students with excellent student development services, as well as challenging them to make the most of their own college experiences. Betsi has held administrative leadership positions at Northwestern University and currently serves on Staff Council, Council for Student Success, and chairs the Student Academic Services Assessment Committee.
In her role, Betsi oversees The HUB, Military Veteran Student Services, the Student Accessibility Center, the Tutoring Center and manages the Sullivan Center building operations
She is also a member of NASPA (Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education) and NACADA (the Global Community for Academic Advising).
