Gallery Items

Gallery Items may include:

  • Pottery
  • Paintings
  • Drawings
  • Photography
  • Poetry
  • Tapestry

2-D gallery items to be hung should be no longer than 18"x24". 3-D gallery items should be no larger than 18"x24"x24".

Submission Process

By October 12, send hungerweek@luc.edu the following:

  • a digital version or picture of the work(s)
  • artist's name
  • title of the work(s)
  • brief artist's statement about the work(s) and its relation to hunger and its effects

After October 12th, works will be reviewed and selected for the art gallery. Artists will be notified by October 22. Works selected for the gallery should be dropped off to Damen 217 from October 22 to October 31 between the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Works will be available for pick-up in Damen 217 from November 4 - 8 between the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Works will be displayed on the second floor of Damen from November 1 - 30. The art gallery will be under supervision from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The gallery will be locked during all other times. The Hunger Week team is not liable for any damage caused to works.


On Tuesday, November 5th from 5:00-6:30pm there will be an Art Gallery Showing in Damen Suite 217. This will be an opportunity for students to view the artwork and for student artists to speak to others about their pieces.
