On Thursday, June 4th at noon, the Institute of Pastoral Studies led a service of prayer and reflection for the Loyola University Chicago community. We honored George Floyd, the countless others known and unknown who have suffered and died, to respond to the cries in the streets of Chicago, across the nation, and around the world calling for truth to be known and justice done. This pause, this moment of breath, served as a moment of spiritual renewal and preparation for the work ahead, for the interior journeys we must each undertake and the journey of our university community toward a new way of being and proceeding.
