ID and Email Changes for Health Sciences Division

Beginning May 16, 2012, new requests for Universal IDs (UVID) and email access for the Health Sciences Division (HSD) will be managed by University ITS. All new IDs will have a luc.edu email address and a GroupWise account on the University’s email system. 

The process for requesting a HSD UVID (which provides access to myLumen, Loyola Wired, Lawson, Kronos and University resources such as LOCUS and campus wireless access) remains the same, with one minor exception: a separate request for an HSD email account is no longer needed. (The email account will be automatically provisioned when the primary ID is created, and will use the same ID and password.)

These changes will not affect existing IDs or email for HSD faculty, students and staff. Those with a lumc.edu email address will continue to have access to the addresses and calendars of luc.edu users via their GroupWise client.  These changes also do not impact clinical faculty.

Issues or problems associated with these new accounts or GroupWise access from luc.edu can be directed to the University help desk at 773-508-4487.  Those with an LUMC ID and GroupWise account will continue to call the LUHS help desk at 708-216-2160.  Requests for other types of LUMC system access (such as the patient information system) will continue to be handled by the LUHS help desk.
