Background for COVID-19 Student Continuity Loans (Spring 2020 - Spring 2021)
Digital Media Services established the COVID-19 Student Continuity Loans for students to enable the circulation of equipment to students with significant gaps in personal technologies to continue coursework and attendance spanning Spring 2020 through Spring 2021 academic terms. At the beginning of the COVID-19 crisis, supply chains were challenged and this program has served to enable the most pressing needs of our students with significant technology gaps in order to find continuity with course attendance and learning while remote.
As our campus continues to resume operations, with campus lab locations available, and less supply chain strain and opportunity to evaluate personal technology needs, we encourage students to take advantage of several of our resources available:
- On-Campus Computer Lab locations such as the Information Commons, Lewis Library.
- Consider using a personal laptop anywhere around campus using campus wireless.
- TechConnect, our resource for discounts and recommendations for personal technology purchases, software, or even mobile provider discounts.
Equipment resources will transition back to standard equipment loan program policies and availability in preparation for return to campus activities for the Fall 2021 term. To learn more, visit the Return To Campus resources.
