Garage Band (Mac)

  1. Make sure Yeti is connected directly to your computer with the included USB cable.
  2. Open up GarageBand
  3. Select New Project, and double click Vocal
  4. Go to the GarageBand drop down menu, select Preferences..., and click Audio/MIDI
  5. Select Yeti Stereo Microphone as the Output Device and Input Device. Close Preferences.
  6. Make sure the Mute button on the Yeti is solid red and not blinking.


  1. Open Audacity.
  2. Go to Edit menu -> Preferences… and select Devices
  3. Under Interface, select Host: MME
  4. Under Playback, select Device: Yeti Stereo Microphone
  5. Under Recording, select Device: Yeti Stereo Microphone, press OK.
  6. Make sure the Mute button on the Yeti is solid red and not blinking, then press the Record button on Audacity
