ITS Academic Continuity Resources

Loyola University Chicago is continuously working on updating and maintaining a process that preserves the continuity of teaching and learning in emergencies, including the current threat of COVID-19.

Just in Time Online is self-service training for faculty that guides you through quickly converting course sessions or activities to an online format so students can continue learning despite a disruptive event.

The Quick Technology Guide to Online Instruction provides faculty with “how-to” documentation and training videos to swiftly increase fluency in Loyola’s core instructional systems such as Sakai, Panopto, and Zoom. Information Technology Services is also readily available to assist you with moving courses online. Please contact the ITS Service Desk at ITSServiceDesk@luc.edu or 773-508-4487.

ITRS offers regular faculty support on teaching with technology. To view the schedule, please visit ITRS Drop-in. Bring your questions on Sakai, Zoom, Panopto, VoiceThread, Respondus LockDown Browser, Turnitin, Hoonuit, and other instructional technologies. No appointment necessary - simply "drop-in" online during these times to meet with a Learning Design Engineer. Use this link to join: https://luc.zoom.us/my/dropin.

Loyola's Fall 2020 classrooms have been set up to offer dual-mode capabilities, which allow for concurrent in-person and online learning. For more information about the systems in each space, and how to operate the equipment, please visit Dual Mode Classrooms.

Equipment will be made available for extended loans to support online teaching and learning, as well as remote work. Resources are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. For more information, please visit ITS Equipment for Extended Loan.
