How can I learn more about Qualtrics’ capabilities? You can find information about the features offered by Qualtrics, e.g., question types, skip logic, formatting, randomization, etc., on the publicly available Qualtrics support webpages.
What type of support is available for end-users of Qualtrics? As well as the support pages referenced above, you can log in to the Qualtrics support site to get 24/7 assistance via chat, email, or phone from a Qualtrics support technician. On the support site login page, click on the Sign in with SSO link. Enter luc for the Organization ID when prompted and click on Continue. When prompted to Please sign in with your organizational account, enter your LUC username and password and click on Sign In. If you are already logged in to luc.qualtrics.com and click on Help > Contact Support, you will only need to choose Sign in with SSO and then enter luc for the organization ID. Please note: the Qualtrics support site does not work with Firefox in private browsing mode.
Note that as of August 19th, 2020, you will no longer be able to phone Qualtrics support without first logging in to the Qualtrics support site and following the authentication instructions noted above. Per Qualtrics' most recent communication, "This change is a required security update that continues to ensure the utmost privacy of user accounts, including preventing anyone from posing as another user."
For those who are just getting started with the software, Qualtrics Basecamp provides training videos. Once you are on the Basecamp page, click the LOGIN button in the top right hand corner of the page. Click on the Sign in with SSO link. Enter luc for the Organization ID when prompted and click on Continue. When prompted to Please sign in with your organizational account, enter your LUC username and password and click Sign In.
In order to streamline support for students, Qualtrics has created a one-stop student support page that students and instructors may find helpful. The process for logging in to to direct support from that web page is the same as that detailed above.
Does the university provide any on-site assistance with Qualtrics? ITRS will continue to provide help with general survey design as well as support for Qualtrics at the administrative level, e.g., account issues, permissions issues. However, for general how-to questions regarding setting up surveys in Qualtrics, e.g., How do I create a multiple-choice question in Qualtrics? How do I distribute my survey?, users should refer to the Qualtrics support webpages as these provide well-documented instructions on using the features and functionality of the software. If you have more advanced questions that are not covered by the documentation or training videos, you should log in to the Qualtrics support site and create a ticket. If you feel you need "hands-on" assistance with general survey design (question wording, ordering, or other survey design issues), you can set up an appointment with ITRS by emailing the ITS helpdesk (email@example.com) with your request. ITRS does not provide direct support or training for Qualtrics.
I am working on a project with researchers from another institution. May those researchers have access to Qualtrics at LUC? Accounts on the LUC subscription are limited to Loyola enrolled students, faculty, and staff. However, you can share your Qualtrics library (survey templates, graphics, files, and messages) via the Collaborate function with individuals who have access to their institution’s Qualtrics subscription.
