Oliver Batchelor is a Learning Design Engineer at Loyola University Chicago. He is responsible for assisting faculty, students, and staff with the design, development, and implementation of courses. Oliver has an MA in Instructional Design and Adult Learning from University of Colorado and an MLIS from University of Pittsburgh. Prior to Loyola, Oliver acquired over a decade of experience in higher education as a research librarian.

Amy Hoyt is the Manager of Technology and Innovation at Loyola University Chicago. She has been with Loyola since 2004 and is currently the liaison between education and IT on the Health Science Campus. In this role, she works with students, faculty and staff to facilitate use of technology in the curriculum. She also provides adminsitrative support for research technologies. Amy holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Indiana University and a master’s degree in School Technology from Loyola University Chicago.

Sarah Kinne is a Senior Learning Design Engineer at Loyola University Chicago. She supports faculty in the design of accessible, inclusive courses and advises faculty in the adoption and implementation of learning technologies. Prior to joining Loyola, Sarah served as an instructional designer and composition faculty at Joliet Junior College, and she has a background in publishing, grant administration, and instructional support. Sarah earned a bachelor’s degree in English from Medaille College, a master’s degree in English from the University of Massachusetts Boston, a graduate certificate in Learning Design & Technology from Harvard University, and is pursuing an EdD at Loyola's School of Education.

Hannah Lee Otto is a Senior Learning Design Engineer whose role innovates how to deliver ITRS support through faculty development and research-based learning design. Hannah also works with the ITRS team as a system administrator of Loyola's learning management system and catalog of teaching and learning technologies. Prior to returning to Loyola, Hannah studied, taught, and worked at DePaul University, teaching in first-year research writing, professional writing for business, and supporting faculty as an instructional technology consultant. Hannah applies her background in writing and pedagogy studies to strengthen ITRS programs for professional development, leverage content strategy, and revise technical documentation. Hannah currently teaches in the instructional design program for the Loyola School of Continuing and Professional Studies, while also pursuing a doctoral degree at the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT). Her research seeks to examine Korean popular culture media as an ideological mechanism.

Michael Paulin is a Learning Design Engineer for Loyola University Chicago. He has more than 10 years of experience supporting Loyola classrooms, both face to face and online. Michael has assisted faculty, staff, and student in learning and implementing new technologies for use in the classroom. He has also supported live streaming of many events for the Heath Science Campus. Michael has a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Augustana College.

Jess Post is a research assistant at Loyola University Chicago ITRS. She graduated with her B.S. in Statistics from LUC and is currently working towards earning her M.S. in Applied Statistics. After 2+ years working with Loyola’s Service Desk, Jess now works to distribute computing software to university members and additionally trains users on the software. Jess is passionate about data analysis and plans on pursuing actuarial science following graduation. In her free time, Jess crochets and enjoys sharing music with others.

Mariana Saba is an Instructional Designer at Loyola University Chicago. She holds a master's degree in Instructional Design & Technology, a master of Teaching Online and a Technology Teaching Certificate. In addition, Mariana is a Graphic Designer and an active member at NCWIT (The National Center for Women & Information Technology). Mariana works with educators and subject matter experts to determine their main learning objectives. She then improves and structures educational content that best delivers the information to students effectively, while still meeting the prearranged objectives. Mariana is fully familiar and comfortable with multi-media in various forms and can efficiently utilize it to deliver educational content. Her superior communication skills allow her to transmit knowledge in a way that is easily understood by all learners. Mariana holds expert knowledge of learning theories and uses this information to guide her actions.

John K. Schneider is an Educational Technologist for Loyola University Chicago. John has been with Loyola for 8 years providing Learning Technology and Media Support for the Health Sciences Campus faculty and staff. Before Loyola, John provided Learning Management System support for McGraw-Hill Higher Education for multiple major universities across the country. He also works on seeking out new learning technologies to integrate with the faculty curriculum and supports the Instructional Design Staff at the Health Science Campus. John also serves on the SON Educational Technologies Committee. He enjoys listening to and collecting music, watching films, and doing graphic art and design for various organizations.

John Sienkiewicz is a research assistant at Loyola University Chicago. John earned his MA in sociology from Loyola, later entering the sociology PhD program. John assists with a variety of tasks including statistical and survey advising, data management, and software distribution. His academic research interests include the gig economy, social movements, and organizations. John is also working with a local community organizing group, the Coalition for Spiritual and Public Leadership, to assess leadership training outcomes through survey data.

Tim Walker is the Associate Director of Instructional Technology & Research Support at Loyola University Chicago. He has over 20 years of experience in higher education supporting faculty with integrating technology into teaching and learning. Tim currently manages a centralized team of 10 full-time staff and about 20 student workers. This group provides a wide array of technology and research services to the University community. Before joining Loyola, he served as the Director of Technology for the McCormick Tribune Center at National Louis University. Tim holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Marquette University, a master's degree in human services administration from National Louis University, and graduate certificates in distance education and leadership in online learning (IELOL) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Penn State University. Tim is a regular presenter at local and national conferences, with topics focusing on faculty and instructional system support, and IT management.
