Top Hat is the web-based response platform Loyola began using in the Fall of 2015. Top Hat provides a way to receive instant feedback from your students using devices they already own to increase student engagement. There are seven different questions types, discussion boards and the ability to create polling tournaments. Instructors can receive reports on daily attendance, student participation and student performance.

VoiceThread allows you to place collections of media like images, videos, documents, and presentations at the center of a conversation. These conversations are not live - they take place whenever and wherever it is convenient for people to participate. A VoiceThread allows people to have conversations and make comments using any mix of text, a microphone, a webcam, a telephone, or an uploaded audio file.  VoiceThread is also integrated with Sakai so instructors can create assignments and link VoiceThread participation to the Sakai gradebook.
