Server Operations
About Us
Server Operations is responsible for supporting the core computer, storage and backup of all centralized and enterprise systems throughout the University. This includes the management of physical and virtual server infrastructures, virtual server hypervisor platforms, storage area network (SAN) and network attached storage (NAS), server operating systems, and the management of security updates and patch management for server operating systems.
In addition to server infrastructure, several core applications are supported also, identity management, directory services, email, calendaring and Office 365.
The Server Operations team also monitors system and service availability, acts as the initial problem incident responder and engages other units as necessary to restore services.
