Email at Loyola
Microsoft Exchange is Loyola’s platform for e-mail, calendars, and other collaboration tools. Through Exchange, faculty and staff have on-campus access to Outlook and Skype for Business for e-mail, calendars, messaging, and conferencing. These programs are installed at the desktop for Loyola-imaged machines. Students have access to a suite of communication tools through Office 365, delivered through the cloud (i.e., the internet). Microsoft Exchange is supported by Information Technology Services.
Access to the web client for students, faculty, and staff is available at http://outlook.luc.edu.
Important Information About E-mail
E-mail accounts for faculty and staff have a 15 GB capacity. Student and alumni accounts have a 50 GB limit.
Messages and other items will remain in your mailbox until you delete them or until the account is deactivated.
All Exchange servers are backed up on a daily basis and saved for three days. The backups are for disaster recovery purposes.
