Student Services
All offices will be closed during the University holidays: December 24, 2020 - January 1, 2021. The University re-opens Monday, January 4, 2021 for J-Term courses. 

Bookstore– The bookstore website is available to place course material orders. Students who order by December 15 will receive their materials by the beginning of class. The bookstore cannot guarantee delivery by January 4, 2021 of orders placed online after December 15. 

Athletics - The Athletic Department will remain open. 

Campus Ministry & Sacramental Life – LSC: No weekday Masses; Sunday only. WTC: No Masses until spring semester begins.

Campus Recreation -The Halas facility will be closed during J-Term.

Campus Safety – Campus Safety will maintain the same level of support and resources during January Intersession as provided during the academic year.

Dean of Students Office – The Dean of Students Office will be available to help students work through challenging situations and to discuss individual and community issues of concern. Please email staff at deanofstudents@luc.edu, or leave a message by calling 773-508-8840.

Center for Student Assistance and Advocacy– As a centralized website for reporting student concerns, CSAA, led by the Office of the Dean of Students, provides support, coordination, case management, and resource referrals for student concerns across the university.

Information Technology Services (ITS)

  • Instructional Technology & Research Support – During J-Term ITS provides regular support for Sakai and other instructional technologies for all classes. 

  • Student Technology Resources  Students have access to a variety of support systems during J-Term. Please review these resources before and during your class.

  • Digital Media Services Support – Digital Media Services and support are available during J-Term. Review resources and information, including hours of operation, software applications, equipment, and more. This includes support of two digital media labs, one per campus, with advanced multimedia workstations, poster printing as well as circulation of a variety of professional equipment from the Equipment Loan Program for students active in coursework. Digital Media Services are located in the Information Commons room 207 and Corboy Law Center room 608.

Students can access Reference and Research Services, Circulation Services, Digital Media Services, Instructional Technology and Research Support, and general directional and technology assistance will be available during the following days and times over J-Term at the Lake Shore Campus:

Transportation & Parking – U-Pass will not be available during the breaks per contractual agreements. Shuttles & 8-RIDE will not be in service.

Wellness Center - Telemedicine and respiratory clinic and testing site will be avaialbe.
