This lecture series is a mandatory preparatory course for students who have been selected to participate in the annual London Comparative Advocacy Program.  It explores a variety of issues pertaining to the English history and its legal professions. Topics include the history of the common law, the development of the English legal profession, English civil and criminal procedure, the role of the European Union in English law, the modern legal professions and the history of London.
