Practical Lawyering Skills
289: Advanced Legal Research: Special Topics – Illinois Law
This one-credit class is intended for students who are working over the summer. The class will focus on ‘cost-effective’ sources and strategies favored by solo practitioners and small firms practicing in Illinois. We will also review basic research techniques and resources covered in First Year Legal Research. The class will proceed in a lecture/lab format. Attendance is mandatory, but class preparation should be minimal. Grades will be based on attendance, participation, and a final research project on a topic of the student’s choosing.
