293: Advanced Writing for Legal Practice: Civil Litigation

This course focuses on writing assignments that traditionally arise in the course of civil litigation. It is designed to develop and enhance the art of precise and focused writing. With a fact pattern drawn from an actual case, students will draft and answer pleadings, discovery and dispositive motions. The course will also address client communications, settlement and litigation alternatives. Class time will be a mixture of lecture, class discussion, exercises and guest speakers.
