COVID Safety & FAQ

The School of Law will be adhering to all University and City of Chicago COVID-19 guidelines. All attendees at in-person events must provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination OR provide a negative PCR test result taken within 72 hours of the event date.

Loyola will be utilizing CrowdPass, an easy to use, and secure digital health clearance platform that will allow all guests to upload their COVID-19 vaccination cards or negative COVID-19 PCR tests via their smartphones to expedite the check-in process. Attendees may upload their documentation here

What protocols are in place for Reunion Weekend?

The 2021 Reunion and Awards events are taking place both virtually, as well as at off-campus locations throughout the weekend. All event are required to follow all Loyola University Chicago Return to Campus Guidelines and City of Chicago Regulations for all events taking place October 21 through October 23, 2021.

Spacing & Seating
Our team has selected venues and spaces that will allow for ample spacing. We will maintain detailed attendee reports and seating charts to allow for contract tracing. In order to maintain these documents and University event compliance, on-site registration will not be permitted.

Sanitation Stations
All event venues will have sanitation stations throughout public spaces. Hand sanitizer will also be available at registration tables throughout the weekend.

All participants are required to wear a mask while indoors at the event, per the City of Chicago mandate and masks will be available at all registration tables to ensure continued compliance.

On July 30, 2021 an updated mask policy was put into place on all Loyola campuses and sponsored events.

In light of new Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Chicago Department of Public Health (CDPH), and Cook County Department of Public Health (CCDPH) guidance and substantial levels of COVID-19 transmission in the city of Chicago and surrounding counties, masks are now required in all indoor public spaces and in all buildings at all Loyola campuses. This applies to all students, faculty, staff, and campus visitors regardless of vaccination status.

Loyola will continue to review its mask policy based on local health guidance and as we monitor levels of COVID-19 transmission. We will communicate any policy updates in as timely a fashion as possible. The most up-to-date guidance can always be found on the Return to Campus Webpage

Our staff, faculty and students are required to be fully vaccinated. All vendors and attendees are required to be fully vaccinated or provide a negative COVID-19 test to enter our events. Loyola will be utilizing CrowdPass, an easy to use, and secure digital health clearance platform that will allow all guests to upload their COVID-19 vaccination cards or negative COVID-19 PCR tests via their smartphones to expedite the check-in process.

In alignment with new higher education guidance released from the Illinois Board of Higher Education (IBHE) and the Illinois Community College Board (ICCB), Loyola University Chicago will now require all full-time and part-time faculty and staff, along with students, to be vaccinated from COVID-19. Exemptions for medical contraindications or religious reasons will be reviewed and may be granted provided they are consistent with our policies. Visit LUC.edu/coronavirus/vaccine for more information.

Beginning August 1, all Return to Campus regulations will apply to any community members participating at in-person events both on or off-campus which are sponsored by the University. All attendees are subject to providing proof of a negative PCR test, taken no more than 72 hours prior to the event, or proof of vaccination.
