1L Appellate Advocacy Requirement Sign Up
Each 1L student must observe one round of an appellate argument or serve as a bailiff at an approved moot court competition.
You may fulfill this appellate advocacy requirement by:
1) Serving as a bailiff at the 2017 Windy City Moot Court Regional Tournament, November 10-11, 2017. The time to sign-up to serve as a bailiff has passed.
2) Serving as a bailiff at the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Midwest Regional Competition, February 9-11, 2018. The time to sign-up to serve as a bailiff has passed.
3) Serving as bailiff at the Loyola Law Intra-School Moot Court Competition, Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at the Dirksen Federal Building (219 South Dearborn) OR Saturday, February 24, 2018 at the law school. The time to sign-up to serve as a bailiff has passed.
4) Observing the Final Round of the Loyola Law Intra-School Moot Court Competition held on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 12:15pm in the Power Rogers & Smith Ceremonial Courtroom, Corboy Law Center, 10th floor (Room 1040). The time to sign-up to attend and observe the Final Round has passed.

In addition to the options that are offered above to all 1L students, Weekend JD students may also fulfill the appellate portion of their 1L Advocacy Requirements by observing one of the practices of the Jessup International Law Moot Court Team. For more information, please click here.
