INADR World Mediation Congress
and 17th Annual International Law School Mediation Tournament
Join us in Chicago for an international forum to exchange ideas among experienced mediators and advocates practicing in all areas of mediation including family, commercial, tort, community, employment and international mediation. After eight successful congresses at Drake Law School, the International Academy of Dispute Resolution WORLD MEDIATION CONGRESS is coming to Loyola University School of Law, Chicago to be held in conjunction with the INADR 17th International Law School Mediation Tournament. The Congress will take place March 6-7 and will feature speakers and workshops covering all things mediation, highlighted by “The Conflict of Politics and The Politics of Conflict: How to Think About and Respond to Political Conflicts” by Kenneth Cloke, an internationally-recognized mediator, dialogue facilitator, conflict resolution systems designer, teacher, public speaker, prolific author, and leader in the field of conflict resolution.
Following the Congress, on March 8-10, Loyola University Chicago School of Law will be hosting the mediation tournament with law students from around the world competing and learning about mediation. Students are welcome to attend the Congress.
(13 hours CLE credit including Professionalism Credits applied for, and CLE may be available for tournament judges.)
There are also opportunities for professionals to serve as judges at the tournament and there will be a cocktail reception for mediators, attorneys, and tournament judges on Thursday evening at the Schiff Hardin law firm on the 71st floor of Willis Tower, Chicago’s tallest building.

Law School Building
Loyola School of Law facilities are designed to sustain a sense of community and collaboration. The Philip H. Corboy Law Center is located at 25 East Pearson Street in the heart of Chicago's vibrant Gold Coast, just off Michigan Avenue and close to public transportation. The School of Law occupies eight floors of this building, sharing the lower levels with students from other divisions of the University.
The trainings and large group gatherings will be taking place in Kasbeer Hall (15th floor. In order to reach Kasbeer, you must use one of the elevators on the South (left) bank of elevators.
- Participants, coaches, judges, and guests must wear their competition badges in order to gain entry to the building.
- In an effort to be more sustainable, Loyola has reduced its use of plastic cups. Please bring a refillable water bottle that you can re-use. Water fountains are located near the elevators and are equipped with bottle faucets. Additionally, please make use of the recycling bins located throughout the building.
- Restrooms are located on each floor past the bank of elevators.
