Internationally recognized authority on attorney performance, Randall Kiser will discuss his new book, Soft Skills for the Effective Lawyer.  Mr. Kiser, who has taught at several law schools, explains key soft skills such as emotional intelligence, professionalism, perspective taking, and decision making, and provides practical information on how to increase skills. Mr. Kiser is a principal analyst at DecisionSet® in Palo Alto, California. His work integrates both academic and practical perspectives derived from 20 years of experience as a litigation attorney and 13 years as a researcher, consultant, and educator. His research has been featured in popular and scholarly publications ranging from The New York Times to the Harvard Negotiation Law Review.
