Matthew G. Allison
Title/s: Partner, Baker McKenzie
Matthew G. Allison advises clients with respect to complex international arbitration and litigation matters. He has substantial experience counseling foreign and domestic companies, across a variety of industries, in large, multi-jurisdictional dispute proceedings. Mr. Allison has first-chaired matters to arbitral hearing in five of the last six years. He has arbitrated matters pursuant to ICC, AAA, ICDR, HKIAC, UNCITRAL and ad hoc rules and has appeared for clients in matters in the federal courts for the Second, Third, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, Seventh, Eighth, Ninth, and Eleventh Circuits. Mr. Allison has frequently represented Chinese companies in both US and international dispute proceedings. He has significant experience with complex commercial fraud, post-acquisition indemnity, and unfair competition claims, and with litigating the enforcement of forum selection and choice of law provisions. Mr. Allison writes and lectures frequently on issues relating to international arbitration and litigation.

Mr. Allison is a member of the American Bar Association, the Chicago Bar Association and the Chicago Surety Claims Association. Matt is a member of the Minority Corporate Counsel Association, and the Litigation and Insurance Sections of the ABA.
Mr. Allison writes and lectures frequently on issues and developments relating to international arbitration and litigation, and has spoken to corporate and legal audiences in China, the United Arab Emirates, Canada, England, Germany, and the Netherlands. Recent presentations include seminars on international attorney-client privilege, personal jurisdiction, and arbitral class actions.
