Sabena Auyeung

Sabena Auyeung is an Assistant State’s Attorney for the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office. She is currently assigned to the Juvenile Justice Bureau where she litigates matters involving child abuse and neglect. Prior to joining the Office, Sabena was an Assistant Attorney General with the Illinois Attorney General’s Office where she primarily handled tort litigation and defense on behalf of Illinois state employees. Before becoming an Assistant Attorney General, Sabena was a Litigation Associate with Pugh, Jones & Johnson, P.C., where she practiced in the firm’s Litigation, Public Finance, and Employment Practice Groups.

Sabena began her legal career serving as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable E. Kenneth Wright Jr. of the Circuit Court of Cook County. Thereafter, she served as a Social Security Law Clerk to the Honorable Maria Valdez of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. She is admitted to practice law in the State of Illinois and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.

Sabena is an active member of the American Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, of which she is a published contributing author for the Bench and Bar, and the Chicago Bar Association.
