Laura Hoffman is an Associate at Feldesman Tucker Leifer Fidell LLP in Washington, D.C. As a member of the firm’s health law practice group, her practice focuses on federally qualified health centers, Title X programs and patient privacy matters. Laura also develops and presents training on topics like the Affordable Care Act, privacy and reproductive rights of minors and regulatory compliance for numerous primary care associations, such as: Unity Health Care Board of Directors; Planned Parenthood affiliates; and the National Center for Medical-Legal Partnership. Laura is also the primary author of the National Association of Community Health Centers’ HIPAA Privacy Toolkit. Prior to working at Feldesman Tucker Leifer Fidell LLP, Laura was a Legislative Fellow for Oxfam America where she represented OxFam America on Capitol Hill for its Sisters on the Planet campaign, which addressed the impact of climate change on women.

Laura also lectures at The George Washington University, Milken Institute School of Public Health. Her lecture topics include Healthcare Corporate Compliance, Federal Healthcare Programs and Risk Assessments. She has also authored multiple Issue Briefs for the National Association of Community Health Centers and articles on various compliance and patient privacy topics for community health centers and community behavioral health organizations. Laura also co-authored Health Reform and Correctional Health Care: How the Affordable Care Act Can Improve the Health of Ex-Offenders and Their Communities for the Fordham Urban Law Journal.
