Ruta Stropus

Ruta Stropus was previously the Director of Attorney Recruitment and Professional Development for the Office of the Illinois Attorney General. Prior to joining the AG's Office, she was the Assistant Dean for Educational Services at DePaul College of Law and the Director of the Academic Support Program for Northern Illinois College of Law. She started her legal career in litigation as an associate with McDermott, Will & Emery and Sachnoff & Weaver, Ltd. She has taught various courses including legal writing, legal drafting, advanced legal writing and legal profession. She has also lectured on the topic of essay writing and the multistate performance test. She is a proud Loyola graduate, having received both her undergraduate degree and her law degree from Loyola University, Chicago. Together with Charlotte Taylor, she has authored a book, Bridging The Gap Between College and Law School: Strategies for Success that has recently been released in its second edition.
