Bill Walsh serves as Senior Enforcement Counsel in the Market Regulation Department of CME Group Inc. in Chicago, Illinois. His responsibilities in this role include prosecuting market participants in enforcement actions before Exchange disciplinary panels and advising Market Regulation staff on rule interpretation and investigative strategies. He also serves as legal counsel to Exchange Arbitration panels. Mr. Walsh joined CME Group in 2013.
Prior to joining the company in July 2013, he practiced for more than seven years as a litigator in the Chicago office of the law firm Winston & Strawn LLP, where he handled complex litigation involving securities, derivatives, professional liability, civil rights, and commercial matters. His practice included litigation in federal and state court, arbitration, and administrative proceedings before the Securities and Exchange Commission.
