Loan Repayment Assistance Program time table changes

Since 1998, Loyola University Chicago School of Law has annually offered a LRAP program for J.D. alumni engaged in public service employment who have high educational debt. The LRAP Committee at the law school has historically solicited LRAP applications from alumni each October. Due to the federal government’s current suspension of payments on federal educational debt, the law school has decided not to seek LRAP applications from alumni in October 2021. The LRAP Committee is planning to solicit LRAP applications from alumni in spring 2022, after the suspension of payments on federal educational debt expires. LRAP application information will then be posted on the law school’s website. If you have comments or questions, contact us at lrap-law@luc.edu.

The School of Law is committed to helping students secure the necessary financial resources to make their legal education at Loyola affordable. Through fellowship programs in Intellectual Property, Health Law, and Child Law, we award qualified JD students monetary fellowship awards, access to specialized legal writing sections, and other opportunities. Our fellowships, merit awards, and scholarships are just one of the ways we support students in their pursuit of a legal career. Other types of aid and funding resources are available.  Learn More
