The Wall Street Journal has called Writers Theatre "the best drama company in the nation." Join Artistic Director Michael Halberstam and actors from Writers Theatre for a remarkable look at selected scenes from Macbeth. The performance will be followed by a lively dialogue and a reception.  This year's program is made possible by the generous support of Loyola law alumna Randy Lamm Berlin.  RSVP: lawandliterature@luc.edu

Michael Halberstam is the Artistic Director and co-founder of Writers Theatre. He has directed over thirty productions for the company. He has also directed at Lincoln Center, San Jose Repertory, Milwaukee Repertory, and Northlight Theatre, among others. In 2010, he received the Zelda Fichandler Award from the Society of Directors and Choreographers, the 2013 Artistic Achievement Award from the League of Chicago Theatres and was named Best Chicagoan in Theatre by the Chicago Tribune.  He is currently overseeing plans for a new $31,000,000 Jeanne Gang-designed theatre in Glencoe.
