3L leads Yale seminar on bioethics

Sumaya Noush (3L) led a six-session seminar this summer at Yale University’s Interdisciplinary Center for Bioethics titled “The Ethics of Global Pharmaceuticals.” The seminar explored how various bioethical perspectives influence trends in pharmaceutical manufacturing and international patent protections. Noush will also present her paper, “Transforming Gene Patentability by Removing the Need for Courtroom Genetics,” at Yale University’s Annual Bioethics Symposium and will serve as a visiting research scholar at the Hastings Center, where she will be working on legal issues related to Medicare’s coverage policy for beneficiaries with End-Stage-Renal Disease.
