Human Rights Association
The Human Rights Association at Loyola is a student organization that brings together students and faculty to promote awareness of domestic and international human rights issues and their legal implications. It provides a forum for discussion about different issues and encourages the Loyola community to take action. Student members of the HRA assist in supporting the rich variety of Human Rights law opportunities at Loyola including opportunities with the Center for the Human Rights of Children (www.luc.edu/chrc/), the Chicago Students Human Rights Coalition (CSHRN), community service projects and monthly discussions of hot topic issues at the Human Rights Coffee Hour. The HRA also aims to match individual or small teams of students with human rights organizations, other related public interest NGOs, and governments to work on specific research, writing, and advocacy projects concerning human rights issues.
