Gary Johnson

Gary was the Senior Director of Global Strategic Sourcing and Sustainability for McDonald’s Corporation for over 30 yrs. (1986-2017) 

Gary developed and implemented domestic and global sourcing strategies for over $7,000,000,000 annual spend and worked with product leads living in Asia, Europe, and Latin America. Gary has not only domestic supply chain experience but also lived and worked in Europe for McDonald’s setting up their supply chain strategies for many products in the EU and throughout central Europe.

Gary’s main area of focus was developing sourcing strategies for McDonald’s food with also experience in non-food (toys/premiums) products with especial emphasis around supply chain management and supply contingencies.

He retired from McDonald’s in 2017 and spends his time consulting in the food industry, being a SCORE mentor volunteer and time with his family including his four grandchildren.
