Leadership Scholars Program LLC
Please note - The Leadership Scholars Program, in which this LLC is part of, is an invitation-only opportunity.
The Leadership Scholars Program Living-Learning Community (LSP LLC) is part of the Scholars Programs at Loyola University Chicago. It is a student success initiative designed to provide comprehensive support services for Black, Latino, first-generation, and other ethnically and racially diverse students who are historically underrepresented in higher education in realizing their potential, achieving their aspirations, and emerging as leaders in society. The program's mission is to maximize the leadership potential of a select and diverse group of Loyola University Chicago students through academic achievement, diversity and inclusion, health and wellness, meaningful opportunities for engagement, and career and personal fulfillment.
The Leadership Scholars Program is a four-year commitment, but within the first year in the LSP LLC, students will begin to:
Articulate, practice, and embody students' own personal definition of leadership by uncovering and appreciating the values or experiences that have influenced it
Develop skills to create, maintain, and strengthen interpersonal and professional relationships with peers, faculty, and staff
Identify and appropriately use resources on campus to aid them in preparing for their academic success
Engage in meaningful discussions about diversity, equity, and inclusion issues on and off-campus
Learn how to improve their personal wellness by participating in a variety of activities provided by the Wellness Center and campus partners
Partake in one-on-one and group discussions about career pathways and how they can prepare to be a leader in their professional area
