New Docs on the Block
The Stritch School of Medicine Class of 2021 is throwing it back to the 1990s in celebration of this year’s Match Day. With references to classic groups and TV shows like Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and New Kids on the Block, there’s nothing that will stop these soon-to-be graduates from becoming the “new docs on the block.”
One of the most important days in their educational journey, Match Day is when soon-to-be medical school graduates throughout the country are notified of their residency placement. The moment they open their envelopes (or emails) is often an emotional experience, filled with anticipation, excitement, and relief. Even though most of our students will celebrate Match Day in their homes, surrounded by family and friends, the significance of this milestone should not be overlooked. From all of us at Stritch and the broader One Loyola community, congratulations Class of 2021!
