Data Science
Data is everywhere and data science is one of the hottest fields in the job market today. Combining skills across mathematics, statistics, and computer science, this minor is a great addition to any major. Students will acquire both knowledge of statistical methodology and computing skills for handling all kind of data science problems. Students will learn both the R statistical programming language and Python, both of which are highly used by data science practitioners all over the world. Students with data science training are in very high demand, and data scientist is often mentioned as the top job in lists of best jobs in America.
